Challenge
The site was slow, it ran on software only the previous developer could touch, and a quote request arrived as an email with nothing attached to it. There was no way to tell which page brought the job in, so there was no way to know what was worth doing more of. Photos of the job came separately, by text, and had to be matched up by hand.
Solution
- Rebuilt the site from scratch, with every old URL mapped to its replacement so nothing that ranked lost its position.
- Put a real lead system behind the quote form: the request, the photos and the page it came from all land in one place.
- Gave the owner a dashboard she can open on a phone, so she does not have to ask anyone what came in this week.
- Fixed the name, address, hours and service list everywhere they appear, so the map listing and the site agree.
